New 85mm street photography contest

Thomas Leuthard announced a new contest through flickr. As you can see:

As anticipated, I am one of the judges. It is an honor for me because this initiative by Thomas has become a major event by important educational and cultural aspects.

 The new theme is: "Street Self Portrait"

Under a street self portrait I understand a photograph showing yourself, taken without a tripod. Use some kind of reflection, shadow or whatever you see and try to include also some other content into the photo. Make it an interesting street photograph but don't forget to include yourself.


 Here are the rules for this contest:

- The photo has to be taken in the month of Februar 2012
- The photo must be a self portrait taken on the street
- The theme for the contest is "Street Self Portrait"
- The photo must contain all the EXIF data (for digital photos)
- The photo must be geo-tagged (in Flickr)
- The photo must not contain any watermarks
- The photo must not contain any frames
- Everyone can submit one photo only

The deadline for the contest is February 29, 2012


The contest is open to everyone around the world. There is no age or any other restriction. The genre is Street Photography and the photos must be taken in a candid way. There is a minor amount of post processing allowed. This is not a Photoshop contest and your photo will not be accepted, if there are too many changes made. There are no special requirements to enter the contest.

The prizes are:

1st prize - 3 years of Flickr Pro
2nd prize - 2 years of Flickr Pro
3rd prize - 1 year of Flickr Pro
